PROJECT 1.1 &1.2
Preliminary Studies - ‘Townscape Appraisal’ & Urban Intervention
Project Brief
The first phase of the project, Preliminary Studies, focuses on preparing a comprehensive investigation into the character of a specific town or city which in our case is Kampung Attap in Kuala Lumpur. This involves exploring the principles of place-making through a Townscape Assessment. The objective of this phase is to analyze and evaluate the unique character, identity, and distinctiveness of Kampung Attap, uncovering opportunities to develop architecture that is responsive to the urban context. Other than that, we were also to design urban intervention in the area.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
I was able to find ways to work effectively with my group members. In this project, I have learned that active listening to others is important in group projects, especially during group discussions.

CITIZENSHIP AND GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES
In a group, we were able to understand each other and look for a middle ground to solve the problems.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
To be able to communicate effectively between each other is important in a group project, whenever we have any inquiries, we were able to talk about them to prevent any misunderstandings.
