PROJECT 2

Structure and Body: Materials, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration

Project Brief

In this group project, we were divided into a group of 20 students in which we were required to build a 1:1 structure for a specific action, in our case, it was 'Rest'. We were required to learn about the nature and characteristics of the material that we will be using which is 'Bamboo'. Other than that, we will also have to learn about ergonomics and anthropometry and the integration of the action into our bamboo structure.

REFLECTION

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

I was able to find ways to work effectively with my group members. In this project, I have learned that active listening to others is important in group projects, especially during group discussions.

CITIZENSHIP AND GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES

In a group of 20, it is undeniable that we have a lot of different opinions on design ideas, but we were able to understand each other and look for a middle ground to solve the problems.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

To be able to communicate effectively between each other is important in a group project, whenever we have any inquiries, we were able to talk about them to prevent any misunderstandings.
