PROJECT 1

Geometry and Form: Architectural Design Elements & Principles

Project Brief

In this project, architectural primary elements and ordering principles were introduced. We were to generate ideas by choosing an ordering principle for which I have chosen 'Axis' as mine and develop multiple designs of Point, Line, and Plane. Ideas were translated by making models. In the end, students will be able to identify key architectural elements and ordering principles.

POINT

LINE

Model No. 1 (1).jpg

PLANE

Model No. 1 (2).jpg

At last, we were required to combine two of the primary elements' models together to represent my ordering principle 'Axis' into one final design.

FINAL

Model No. 1 (3).jpg

We were also required to produce four tattoo stamps of our final model which we rendered it into horizontal section, vertical section, side, and top view.

REFLECTION

Discipline specific knowledge.png

DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

I was able to put theories of learning what is architectural elements and ordering principles and translate my ideas into several models.

Lifelong learning.png

LIFELONG LEARNING

I was able to record my design process, learned through the process and utilised the new knowledge learned into my next two projects.

THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILL

I was able to think of a way to combine two architectural elements together in representing my ordering principles and produce a model of it.
